Henry Duitman Music Director and Conductor Henry Duitman has held the post of Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra Music Director and Conductor for twenty-two years. During this time the orchestra has increased in size, in quality, and in the number of educational and cultural programs it offers the residents of Siouxland. Dr. Duitman earned his Ph.D. in Music Education with an dual emphasis in conducting and music and technology from The Ohio State University in 1993. He is also the Instrumental Music director at Dordt College, where he conducts the Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra and teaches courses in Music Education
