What is Dordt Lacrosse?

Dordt Sowers Lacrosse was founded in 2000 as a club sport and remains a club sport. Being a club sport means that it does not receive funding of a varsity team, nor does it have as much regulation by the college. Since joining the Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference in 2002, the Sowers have never had a losing season and have made the playoffs every year. In 2008 the Sowers made their first appearance in the Championship game but lost a hard fought game 10-6. The team ended the year #20 ranked in the nation.
