Office Hours, Spring 2014

I try to be in my office 8:30 - 5:00 if I'm in town, not teaching a class or a lab, not in a meeting not eating lunch, and so forth. I'm also good at "chat" via telephone—use your cell phone if you like!-) Official office hours and my telphone numbers are posted on my office door and in the document at the next link below and on this web page.

I have a "virtual open door" policy. Any time I am in my office, I'd like to be available. Unless there is a "do not disturb" note on my office door, just knock—even if the door is physically closed. Similarly, if you are in a dorm or elsewhere and want to talk, just pick up your phone and call. If I'm not in my office, you should leave a message (or e-mail) or talk to the department secretary (Donna De Vries, 722-6293), or call me at home (before 10 pm please) . You may also schedule an appointment with me if you know you will have a future need to talk with me (e.g. course planning).

Prof. De Boer's general Weekly Schedule.

Courses

In the Spring of 2014 I am teaching these courses:

C@D EGR 117  Introduction to Engineering Electronics
C@D EGR 304  Microprocessor Interfacing (with a lab)
C@D EGR 363  Introduction to Communication Systems
Note 1: EGR 204 will be instructed by Mr. Don Gallagher this semester.

Note 2: Professor De Boer welcomes qualified students to inquire about adding a Kuyper Scholar's Project to any of his courses.

Note 3: Students may click on the blue "C@D" symbols for direct links to the course files in Dordt's course management system. Anyone may click on the gold links to the public portal for the course.

In the Fall of 2014 I tentatively plan to teach these courses:

EGR 220/PHYS 206  Linear Circuits and Electronics (with a lab) *
EGR 322  Electronics I (with a lab) *

In the Spring of 2015 I tentatively plan to teach these courses:

EGR 204  Intro. to Microprocessors and Digital Circuits (with a lab) *
EGR 304  Embedded Microcontroller Systems (with a lab) *
EGR 323  Electronics II (with a lab) *

In the Fall of 2015 I tentatively plan to teach these courses:

EGR 220/PHYS 206  Linear Circuits and Electronics (with a lab) *
EGR 360  Introduction to Power System Analysis *

In the Spring of 2016 I tentatively plan to teach these courses:

EGR 204  Intro. to Microprocessors and Digital Circuits (with a lab) *
EGR 304  Microprocessor Interfacing (with a lab) *
EGR 363  Introduction to Communication Systems *

From there you can find a link to the course syllabus and more.
In the years beyond the ones shown above the best estimate of what I will be teaching is to look at the semester a multiple of two years behind the one you want to know about. Example: In the Spring of 2017 I'll probably be teaching the same courses as in the spring of 2017 – 2 = 2015, so look above at my schedule for the spring of 2015.
