Research
at Dordt
“Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful
for me to know.” – Job 42:3
God considers all of His resources to be
valuable gifts that should not be wasted. Therefore, when
conducting research, one needs to examine the reason for having the
technology. We should not have a "technicistic" mindset, or
pursue development for selfish gain. Everything should be done for
God's glory.
At Dordt, the understanding is that the
combination of creation and revelation will give us a better picture
of God. Research is done so that we might grow to serve God
better. Throughout the school year, a number of students are
involved in research. Over the last several years, Dordt has
also received a number of grants that enable chosen students to
study underneath their professors during the summer. This
portion of the website is made up of summaries describing some of
these research projects.
