Campus care

Man was given dominion over creation.  This is true.  But since the Fall, man has exercised this dominion wrongly... Surely then, Christians who have returned through the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, to fellowship with God and have a proper place of reference to the God who is there should demonstrate a proper use of nature. We are to have dominion over it, but...we are not going to act as though it were nothing in itself or as though we will do to nature everything we can do.

Welcome to Dordt College's Campus Care Website!

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” – Psalm 24:1

All human beings were created to bring glory to God in all areas of life.  So caring for the earth is integral to our faith.  While Dordt College has taken many positive steps to reduce its environmental impact, it is important to realize that much more can be done.

The ENVR 396 class in the Spring of 2007, came up with the idea for this website.  It was their intent that Dordt students, faculty, and professors, as well as the Sioux Center community, would use this site as a source of information, and as a challenge towards action. So, feel free to browse around and take advantage of this information.

Please understand that this site is a work in progress. If you have any questions, comments, or information you feel should be included on this site, please contact the webmaster.
